Writing complete for A Terry East Moment

Well folks, it’s a long process in the making of ‘A Terry East Moment‘. And the first major hurdle is now complete. The detailed accounts of all 50 episodes are written, scripted, and ready to rock and roll. Filming will start real soon, and the April 1st, 2010 date is a 100% solid as a rock given. 4 weeks and a day until Episode 01. It’s packed with thrill and adventure for the story driven parts of the series, and comedic pause and laughter for the variety act side of it. You’ll be taken to back alleys, strips clubs that have a peculiar type of star, and the office of the President. And that’s just in the first week or so! Kidnappings, beatings, and fond reunions with old pals will all take place over the course of the 50 webshows too. Not a whole lot is stopping this freight train of crazy so step on board April 1st, 2010 and enjoy the show!

Season 1 is a start. A first attempt with lots of room to grow and improve. An opening if you will, on what is to be in this series. Season 2 (which is already being worked on) will be longer episodes, with a shorter total probably down to 15-25 episodes. But it will focus more on the action / adventure story presented in Season 1, opposed to keeping it’s more “Variety + Story” style that it is currently set up as for this first series of webisodes. But hey, 50 shorts is better than 0 anythings so who can complain!

Some new graphics coming out in the next couple of days for the shows logo’s, it’s an ongoing process and never easy when you’re dealing with a terrorist that thinks he has a flair for style. If army jackets were style, Terry East would be very much so in-style! But it’s not and neither is he. He’ll just have to settle for knowing how to blow things up and tie people to chairs and interrogate them. We all have our skills!

The official cast of characters will have a page setup for them in the next week or two. As the characters are released in the the episodes, they will be added to the cast page. Nobody wants to give away a secret before the time is due.. right? RIGHT!

WHO IS TERRY EAST AND WHY ON EARTH DID SOMEONE GIVE HIM A CAMERA CREW?

Terry East came from a country in the Middle East called Afpupistan (pronounced Aah-pupi-stan). His hometown of Goateluv (pronounced Goat-love) was up in the mountains but that didn’t stop him from crossing the boundaries of his culture and having his wife Oumelda (pronounced Ooo-Meld-A) who just happens to be a Camel and not your every day human like the rest.

Terry was then BANISHED fromhis hometown of Goateluv, assembled a camera crew, and is ready to unleash his own brand of havoc upon the global air waves. Oumelda has been hidden somewhere in the mountains and until Terry gets his act together he’s not going to be able to get back up there anytime soon.

He’s going to need the help of friends.

But what friends from the Rotten Puppets universe will be unleashed to assist Terry is anyones question. Rumors have it R.J. Smythe has been seen in the area and he has been a pal of Terry’s since the 80’s when they flew choppers together for Zammo Industries. Both have fallen off the wagon long ago from ZI and they are both considered fugitives at large. Why those fellas follow with the cameras and don’t end up dead is a mystery. It seems Terry has taken a liking to speaking to the people through the camera.

And by the way, Terry has vowed to stop at no costs in hopes he can one day reunite himself with Oumelda. That’s not just any camel, that’s his 8th wife!

Mascot Part Deux – Tail n Nose

Hey folks here is another quick update on some progress in the land of Rottenville. The nose I made the initial cutouts on since that’s where the viewing will be taking place from when the head is on the wearer. I want to keep the eyes beeeeedy and creepy so looking through the nose seems to be the best option. I made a test nose piece out of posterboard and latex and will mock up the viewing with it. I had a little black latex left over already mixed and ready to rock so it’s easy enough to make again and I’ll do the real one a dark pink but i’ll be using this one for testing different mesh coverings.

Also put up 2 pics of the tail. It has armature wire going through the entire length so I can give it that squiggly look that it so deserves! It’s going to end up being just under a foot long when coiled up. Done for now until I’m ready to make a mount for it but that should be no big deal…..

Mascot Part Deux – Here Piggy Piggy

Well folks, what can I say. Not so soon after the mighty Wolfun is born we have another creation coming out of the workshop.. No name yet has been decided but it’s going to be a Pig-based character.. I say “Pig-based” because this design is very free forming.. Gloves, foot slip overs (this will help make it a one size fits all), a suit from the 70s from a local salvation army/thrift store, and the head piece. The snout has some nosehole reference points but that’s going to be the viewpoint for the wearer.. This way the pupils can have that beady pig look they so need. This should be a lot easier to build from a how much I have to do point of view but hey shit happens. Let’s hope for the best!

This character will also be 100% for Rotten Puppets. We’ve got some ideas up our sleeves for a couple shorts that should be a real treat! But being a RP character poses the question of what side is this Swine-Flu carrying Pig on?? (PFF?) Only time will tell but I’m sure Zibble will have something to say about it. Mascot/puppet confrontations are inevitable at this point they already ask about that big grey fella wandering around.

Not a lot of pics to show so far.. A simple shot of a sketch (yeah I know my drawing sucks, i’m not a sketch artist!!) and a quick shot of some features pinned up on the head form. Don’t mind the uneven appearance it’s just for the sake of keeping the parts somewhere while working on them!!

Wolfun Is Born!

Well our first mascot creation is born and walking the streets of NY. He’ll probably not be seen too often here on RP but you never know what will happen. Like they say, “Anything is possible with magic” so maybe we can cast a foam and fleece spell to return him to our universe for more fun and games….

Here are a couple pics from last night.. We have a great video showing you just how accepting New Yorkers are of different people coming up later tonight.. You can pick up dinner from a pizzaria and not a soul will flinch when you’re a 6’4″ comical wolf. They didn’t want to sell me the food @ first without knowing who it was but my minions assured them I was a regular (which I am).. At the end we showed him my ID and he got a good laugh realizing it’s that crazy guy who always comes in.

Anyways.. Here are a couple teaser pics, video later tonight when I’m back in the workshop.

First Mascot – It’s the Final Countdown!!

Well folks the time is here.. Helloween if you will.. And what better way to enjoy it than while wearing your first mascot costume. Now this may not be a character for the good ole world of Rotten Puppets but that’s ok. A night to entertain the local villagers is always good for a karma point or two. We will be getting plenty of video tomorrow as well so stay tuned for a Rotten Halloween!

Oh and for those in attendance wondering what is going to be next.. I can tell you this….. It will be called “The Corporate Pig” and it will be at Town Hall meetings holding a sign at a VFW near you!!! Muahahah! Nothing can stop the madness now!

First Mascot – We’re getting closer and closer!!

Well I’ve been busy the past while so progress slowed down a little bit. Needed some supplies and waited until I picked up everything before I continued onward in my quest of Mascot Madness. Work has been done on the gloves/claws now, the head is fully furred and mouth/inside snout detailing is what’s left. Well other than putting the ears on. Details, details.. Also got a tongue made up, 100 more coats of latex on the nose to make it as seamless as possible to the furs edge. Eyes are starting to come along better now. I only had to make a dozen or so before I started to see something I was happy with in regards to size/placement/etc.. Picky indeed but it’s gotta be what it’s gotta be. I cannot control destiny, I can only help shape it.

First Mascot – Ears, more feet, and…. riblets?!?!??!

Hey folks, here’s the next installment of my eventual online application to a rest home. Ears are completed, posable, and only require attachment once the head is furred. The claws came in from Grey Owl Crafts and they are great, thanks GO. So that meant I had to immediately fur a foot. And a pic is present! Clawed and then furred and clawed. Claws are removable if needed. Still a ton of haircutting left to be done to all pieces.

The nose has been getting layer on layer of latex and added some Mars Black acrylic to give it a nice rich color. It’s taking a while with the foam soaking it up but the pores are starting to all close up and rubberize now so the end in sight for the nose!

Then I thought it would be a good idea to make a torso piece. I didn’t want it huge and since a wolf is generally depicted as longer and lankier I went with just a shoulder pads setup inspired by attire in the Mad Max series of movies. Who rules Bartertown??? Lots of work left to do on that piece with shaping/foaming but I’ve started the latexing of RIBLETS!! That’s right you heard me, RIBLETS!! They look too raised now but the fur will be going around each one so it will end up looking really subtle.

Hey just thought I’d throw up a few more pics of what has been going on lately. Here are some shots of the feet I’m working on. Still a work in progress but that’s a given until the claws arrive Can’t be a clawless wolf now! Also starting the hands/forearm sleeve part. Need that same claw order to arrive for that too but I’ll get most of it done before they arrive anyways. Name is pretty much determined but we’ll wait to reveal that just yet. Things could change from now until completion. Check that fur out tho it’s thick and lustrous and is going to look killer as the main color.. Will be lots of black/brown detail work to go with it too. Okay enough of it, let’s see the pics!!
