Sometimes I just sit here in the midnight hour watching old videos. Not in a self-serving “oh i’m f’n great” kind of way, but more of an evaluation of the self-worth of Rotten Puppets and the majesty it can create at times. It’s truly an animal standing alone and there is little to nothing I can do about it at this point. When I first said “Where the puppets run the show” I never realized just how true that would become. And now with things picking back up on the creative / developmental side I’d going through all of the old shorts, music videos, and jokes to see what is up. Some worked, some sucked, and some should just be deleted from the internet forever…. Learning what makes each video tick is like online therapy to make the next production just that much better.

It also makes me think about how much fun the process is from sketching out some  ideas, recording tracks, and then coming up with the video ideas. This one I’m posting up tonight never got the attention I feel it deserves so here it is again tonight for your pleasure! It’s a love story from our dear President to his favorite gal Hillary. With all of the dirty things he’s done to her in the past it’s a nice treat to see him sing a love song.

That magic time is here again. Capitol Hil, the next installment from Steven’s Rotten Puppets is upon us. This time our favorite un-elected President of Rottenville is up to his old tricks making an attempt to wrangle his gal Hil. Capitol Hil – RELEASED is a post from: Rotten Puppets

Well here we are. A rainy Saturday afternoon in the land of Rottenville with a short update.

Capitol Hil is coming along nicely. The audio track is done and made into a MP3/WMA awaiting the video to support it. We’re going to start putting these up on the various Audio/band type websites so getting this track and ‘Make It Rain’ into high quality MP3′s is finally ready to distribute. So you’ll be able to crank it up on your iPods and Zunes in the near future!

The video side of Capitol Hil is around 50% completed on the main cut. Then another short while for any comp work (text/titles/effects/etc.) that needs to be done. But it’s a pretty simple video concept behind it, probably be out next week some time. The running concept / theme is his restlessness waiting for his gal Hil. So Obama is seen in a variety of shots from being playful, startled out of bed looking for her, opening the door, etc. Mostly live action in real world environments, with some green screen work to support it.
