The forums have been opened! So take a moment and stop on by. Now keep in mind while it IS the forum home of Rotten Puppets and The Obamadome, that is only just a small portion. It’s an off-topic / freakshow site at heart, and it only just happens to host the support for these 2 sites. I figured I would detail a little better what exactly we are going to be doing here over the next few weeks while getting the rest of ‘A Terry East Moment‘ filmed, produced, and prepared for the web show. The goal is to provide a more complete RP Universe to the casual viewer, and a more robust and detailed experience for the fan more into it. This way everyone can take the experience at their own pace. The new website setup last year was a giant leap forward in the ability and ease of getting more content out to the site.

Overall, I think it has done well and proven itself to be an easy model to keep up and get more content visible from the main site without heavy navigation or time spent waiting. This all happened during a 12-14 month period of my personally moving to a new location, having to break down and setup EVERYTHING, etc. It’s been a long year but we’re starting to come out of the dust and making leaps forward in our goals. The master plan as it is called by some has only just begun.

With the release of ‘A Terry East Moment‘ we want to make sure we are offering more of a full experience to anyone coming to the website. So this led to the idea of bringing back what we once had for a short while 2+ years ago. A message board. (www.rottenforums.com) Based off the brand spanking new vBulletin 4.x series. It’s a slick system with a built in front-end for articles, a blogging system, stellar message boards, and plenty of things to add-on in the future. It will have a news like splash page just like Rotten Puppets but it will be completely about itself and that of supporting the RP Universe.

Whether it’s a contest entry, a message from one of the Cast Members exclusive to the forums, a fan art submission, etc. Overall though, you will be able to see just about all of the same Official Content (aka movie releases) on both sites, with the forums being more involved, more fan participation, more cast participation. Meanwhile the main RP site will remain as more of the showcase/ display it has become. Like all good things it will take some time to build and get started but we promise the final product will be enjoyable.

Well that was a fun experience! I guess the hot glue and paint chips got to me for once and I lopped off one of our needed databases! So off we scurry to the folks that run our database servers and they repaired it in short order! They said it would take 3-5 days, and they had me restored in 1 day. Bravo!

Now all is good in the hood and we are back in business. There is going to be an update later tonight in regards to ‘A Terry East Moment’ to move the date back a few weeks so we can enhance our web presence before releasing the show.

We are currently developing a new forum over at Rotten Forums that will be linked to this site and interactive with each other. This way the Cast Members of the RP Universe can have a more personal involvement with everyone watching the shows! You’ll be able to submit questions, comments, or tell us we suck and you want us to burn in a pot of sauce. There will also be exclusive forums only contests, events, and videos for members only. It’s 100% free to join and participate. The forums are not ready for a prime-time release by any means currently but if you’re bored or have a moment and want to stop in and check things out and poke around trying to break stuff, it’s appreciated.

Back to work we go, Terry has another promo message or two that will come out with the show’s new date announcement.
